Workshop Description: Do you have that little voice in your head that undermines you at every turn telling you that you're not enough?   Do you feel like any success you have is a fluke instead of a reflection of your skill and talent? Why do we talk ourselves out of pursuing our passions, asking for what we want and sharing our opinions?

This workshop will identify and examine why we struggle to see our worth, why we set the bar so high, and how we can foster an inner narrative that is more supportive, motivating and kind. This event is reserved for women-identified, transgender and non binary individuals.

About our Speaker:

Amanda Huettner - Founder & CEO, FACE BC
Amanda has an extensive background working in the not-for-profit sphere, from harm reduction and transitional housing management to executive roles with community organizations and professional associations. Amanda has experienced both sides of self doubt: assuming prestigious career opportunities were the result of “faking it till you make it”, and then feeling completely worthless and lost when chronic pain and disability limited her ability to work in intense, full time executive roles.

Amanda has led and participated in a number of workshops and conferences on topics such as women in law, self care, healthy boundary setting, time management, chronic pain and disability, diversity and inclusion, anti-oppression, and gender and work. Amanda is the proud recipient of the AMSSA Cultural Diversity Award, the NATLE 2017 Best Continuing Legal Education Program award, and the ACLEA 2017 President's Award for Best Continuing Education Program in North America.

FACE acknowledges that this event takes place on the unceded territories of the Syilx tmixʷ (Okanagan) and Nłeʔkepmx Tmíxʷ (Nlaka’pamux).
