FEMINISM UNBOUND: Resisting Fear & Exclusion in our Movement

from 5.00

WHEN: APRIL 11 2019, 6PM - 9PM
WHERE: UNBOUNCE, 400-401 W Georgia St, Vancouver, BC V6B 5A1

This event has been postponed. Please CLICK HERE to read the statement from our Board of Directors.

FACE has volunteered to assist a collective of local feminist activists and organizers with this important event.

We will be gathering on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, on which the majority of us are uninvited guests.

With a rise in fascism around the world, hate groups are finding ways to mask their beliefs and cloak their hateful rhetoric in a smokescreen of progressive language. Intersectional solidarity is our only way forward, with the honouring of all voices and bodies that face hate, marginalization, and erasure.

Join us for a night of radical discussion and feminist praxis where we will unpack the socially sanctioned hate that our communities face on a daily basis; speak to practices of accountability; and form bonds between us. This event will focus its attention on complex issues facing trans folks, sex workers, and other marginalized communities.
