FEMINISM UNBOUND: Resisting Fear & Exclusion in our Movement

from 5.00

WHEN: APRIL 11 2019, 7PM - 9PM
WHERE: UNBOUNCE, 400-401 W Georgia St, Vancouver, BC V6B 5A1

Feminist movements are often plagued by fear and exclusion, and within our community, groups are finding ways to mask their oppressive beliefs and exclusionary rhetoric in a smokescreen of progressive language.

Our panel will discuss why intersectional solidarity is our only way forward, and how honouring all voices and bodies that face hate, marginalization, and erasure is an essential aspect of feminism.

This event will focus its attention on complex issues facing trans folks, sex workers, and other marginalized communities with the goal of strengthening the bonds between us, and inspiring allyship among participants.

We will be gathering on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, on which the majority of us are uninvited guests.

Tickets by donation. If you wish to contribute a larger donation, please either select multiple quantities (i.e $50 at a quantity of 4 = $200) or contact Amanda@FACEBC.org.
