WHEN:  Wednesday December 5, 7-9pm
WHERE: UFCW, 350 Columbia Street, New Westminster

Workshop Description: When someone says something or acts in a way that is harmful to our community's values, we often don't know if or how we can react. In this workshop, we'll examine some of the tools that women in leadership roles can use to draw attention to someone's harmful behavior, or draw the community's attention to harm. What is a call in? What is a call out? What other ways can we confront harm? When is each method of confronting harm appropriate and what are the risks associated with each? In this workshop we'll explore the ways we can have these difficult discussions in compassionate and community building ways.

FACE and WoW acknowledge that the land on which we host this event is the unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples including the territory of the Qayqayt First Nation.

DINNER: We will be serving a hearty vegan meal.  Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate gluten free or food allergy requirements, as we do not have access to a gluten/allergen free kitchen.

ACCESSIBILITY: There is no step at the front door, there is a ramp, the washroom is accessible and there is an elevator between floors.

Bathrooms: Washrooms are gendered, but we will be posting gender neutral signage on the washroom doors.
