Do you have that little voice in your head that undermines you at every turn telling you that you're not enough?   Do you feel like any success you have is a fluke instead of a reflection of your skill and talent? Why do we talk ourselves out of pursuing our passions, asking for what we want and sharing our opinions?

This workshop will identify and examine why we struggle to see our worth, why we set the bar so high, and how we can foster an inner narrative that is more supportive, motivating and kind. This workshop is reserved for women-identified, transgender and non-binary folks. Please note space is limited for this event. Tickets will sell out.

CONFRONTING HARM: A #METOO DISCUSSION & WORKSHOP

WHEN: DECEMBER 5 2018, 7-9PM
WHERE: UFCW 1518, 350 COLUMBIA STREET NEW WESTMINSTER
COST:  $29 (INCLUDES DINNER)
Registration opens November 1

When we have been harmed, be it by an individual, organization or culture, there are several ways we can respond. In this workshop, we'll work together to discover different tools we have to bring attention to harmful behaviour, the pros and cons of each approach, and how they can be used to inspire positive change. This workshop is being presented in collaboration with Women On Wednesdays.

FACE Your Professional and Personal Relationships:  Setting Healthy Boundaries

WHEN: FEBRUARY 2019
WHERE: TBD
COST:  $29 (sliding scale)

Life is full of challenging people and difficult personalities.  For centuries, we have been conditioned to stay silent and accept unwelcome behavior.  Even though we've said "enough is enough!", advocating for ourselves at work and at home can still feel impossible.

What do you do if you are being harassed or bullied at work?  How do you identify and avoid toxic friendships and relationships? This workshop will focus on developing skills to advocate for yourself (and others) at work and in life.   We will look at warning signs, personality types and triggers, communication techniques and boundary setting.  Additionally, we will discuss legal and therapeutic resources.
